Maseno University Main Campus, for now. That is why everything you see is close enough to meet up over. More campuses may follow.
Open the listing and tap the flag in the top right, then pick what is wrong with it. Only a moderator sees the report — the seller is not told who sent it.
It should not. A signed-in session now lasts about a month of normal use and renews itself while you keep using the app. If you are being asked to sign in often, tell us through Help & support — that is a bug, not how it is meant to work.
Buying
Open the listing and tap Message seller. The conversation happens inside the app, so neither of you has to hand out a phone number. Some sellers also publish a number — when they have, a call button appears next to the message button.
We strongly recommend meeting sellers in person in a safe, public place on campus. Never share personal financial details and be cautious of requests for advance payments.
Campus shops are student businesses that pay for a shopfront in the app. They work like any other listing — browse the shop, then message the owner to arrange a meet-up.
No. UniMarket does not handle payments and nobody on it should be asking you to send money in advance. Meet in a public spot on campus, inspect the item, then pay. If someone asks for a deposit, report the listing.
Campus
Open the menu and go to Lost & Found. You can post what you lost, or look through what other students have found. Whoever posted gets a message in the app when someone recognises it.
Yes — both are in the menu. Hostels lists rooms with prices, facilities and how far they are from campus. RooMy is for students looking to share: post what you are looking for, or answer someone who already has.
Selling
Tap the green + in the middle of the bottom bar, fill in the details and add clear photos. Photos are the single biggest thing that decides whether an item sells, so use daylight and show any damage honestly.
Yes. Go to Profile, then My listings, open the menu on the listing and choose Edit details. You can also relist an expired item or mark one as sold from the same place.
Listings run for 30 days so the marketplace does not fill up with things that sold months ago. An expired listing is not deleted — go to Profile, then My listings, and tap Relist to put it back in front of buyers.
Open your listing and tap Mark as sold, or use My listings. Doing this matters: a sold item stops appearing to buyers and stops the app reminding you to renew something you no longer have.
Sign in and your message goes straight to the team, with your replies in one place.
Sign inUnimarket connects buyers and sellers — we never handle payments, and we will never ask for your M-Pesa PIN.
